Dana Jacobs is an accomplished, driven, and experienced litigation attorney. She holds an AV Preeminent Rating, the highest rating possible from Martindale Hubbell, which is the most prestigious attorney-peer-review system. She is licensed to practice law in both Florida and Georgia.
Jacobs is proud to be a “Double Gator.” She graduated in the top five of her class from the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications and obtained her degree in public relations with a minor in criminology. Jacobs spent the following year working at a medical malpractice firm in South Florida before beginning law school at the University of Florida. While attending law school, Jacobs was a member of the Moot Court team and received the prestigious “Best Oralist” and “Best Team” awards in the Final Four Competition.
After graduating law school in 2008 with her Juris Doctorate, Jacobs moved to Jacksonville where she practiced at Boyd & Jenerette. She joined the Saalfield Shad firm in 2012, where she was promoted to partner. Throughout the first decade of her litigation career, Jacobs represented individuals, insurance companies, and self-insured businesses in cases regarding premises liability, automobile and trucking accidents, wrongful death, and toxic tort. Her knowledge and experience from doing insurance defense work is a valuable asset to the trial team at Coker Law.
Jacobs is involved in many community organizations outside of the law, including the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association, the Jacksonville Bar Association, and the Jewish Community Alliance. She and her husband Kyle met in law school and together they have a son named Benjamin. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family playing board games, reading, swimming, and traveling. She also has a passion for music, singing, dancing, and playing the piano.
