Coker Law continues to bring the heat year over year at the annual Charity Chili Cook-Off hosted by the Jacksonville Bar Association Young Lawyers Section. Coker Law’s own attorney David Rottmann is the master chef behind the firm’s efforts. The team brought home awards for Original Chili for having the only vegan offering and for Best Fixins’ at the 2019 cook off benefiting UNF Best Buddies Program.
The University of North Florida’s chapter of the Best Buddies program, matches students who have intellectual learning disabilities with youth who have no disabilities.
The Coker Law team took tasty to a whole new level when local, state and federal judges presented them the award in 2018 for the Best Overall and Meatiest Chili! Proving they were the team to beat in 2016, they took home the trophy and bragging rights as the 2016 Best Overall Champion.
The Cook-Off also features live music, beverages and other tasty treats. Previous beneficiaries have been Rethreaded, a charity working to fight human trafficking and support survivors of the sex trade on a local and global level.
