Corinne Hodak received her law degree with Honors from the University of Florida in 1989 and is a member of The Florida Bar and the Massachusetts Bar. Prior to her legal career, Ms. Hodak was a registered nurse specializing in Intensive Care Nursing. She was an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Florida in the College of Health.
Ms. Hodak is an active member of several associations including the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), Chester Bedell Inn of Court, Florida Bar Association, Jacksonville Bar Association, Florida Justice Association, American Justice Association, and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
Ms. Hodak served as President of the Jacksonville Chapter of ABOTA (2020), President Elect (2019), and Treasurer (2018). She served as Counselor Elect, then Counselor for the Chester Bedell Inn of Court (2011-2014, 2016), and is currently on the Executive Committee (2007-present). She served as Chair of The Florida Bar’s Civil Procedure Rules Committee (2007-2008), Chair of the Code and Rules of Evidence Committee (1998-1999) and Vice-Chair (1995-1998), and chaired several subcommittees of the Rules of Judicial Administration Committee (2011-2016). She was Newsletter Editor for the First Coast Trial Lawyers Association (1995-1996), Publications Co-Chair for the American Trial Lawyers Association Young Lawyers Division (1995-1996), and Chair of the Holiday Project Committee for the Jacksonville Bar for three years, a project that provided holiday gifts to hundreds of needy senior citizens in the Jacksonville area. She was also a Governor on the New Lawyer’s Division of the American Trial Lawyer Association for five years. In 1998, she was honored by the American Trial Lawyer Association – The New Lawyer’s Division and received the Scotty Baldwin Award for Outstanding Trial Attorney. She has been recognized by several publications including The Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, Florida Top Lawyers, and Jacksonville Top Lawyers.
She has authored legal publications and has spoken on various topics to lawyers and nurses.
Currently Ms. Hodak is a University of North Florida Foundation Board Member, Trustee Emeritus for the University of Florida College of Law (active Trustee 2001-2006), and is on the Dean’s Advisory Committee at the University of North Florida College of Nursing. Most recently, Ms. Hodak was named Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Jacksonville Chapter of ABOTA and received the Spirit of Giving Award from the Jacksonville Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
Ms. Hodak practices in the area of civil litigation and principally represents patients who are injured as a result of medical negligence or malpractice.
