Lawyers advocate equal justice for all in the courtroom, but at the Jacksonville Bar Diversity Symposium Friday, lawyers were calling for equality in their profession.
“There has to be an openness and frankness about the subject,” said Howard Coker, past president of the Florida Bar and a former president of the Florida Justice Association. “Open discussion will hopefully make us more diverse in the profession and in the community.”
