DREAMS COME TRUE
Coker Law Firm partner Charles Sorenson is on the Board of Directors for Dreams Come True, a Jacksonville organization dedicated to granting wishes for children ages 2-18 with life-threatening illnesses. “Becoming part of the Dreams Come True board has been a very inspiring experience,” Charles said. “One of the things we do at our meetings is have the parents of dreams share their child's dream experience and how it has impacted them. It is very powerful stuff and I am proud to be a part of this amazing organization.”
What Is Dreams Come True of Jacksonville
Dreams Come True of Jacksonville is the First Coast's only locally-based, wish granting organization dedicated to using the power of a dream to bring hope and joy to any First Coast child battling a life-threatening illness. Since 1984, Dreams Come True of Jacksonville has fulfilled the dreams of more than 3,800 children. No child is ever denied a dream and no child is ever placed on a waiting list.
Whether the child dreams of a trip to Disney World, meeting a famous celebrity or athlete, swimming with dolphins or a major shopping spree, Dreams Come True makes their dream a reality, giving them a reprieve from countless doctor visits, hospital stays and tests and memories to last a lifetime. Coker Law Team Walks, Runs and Rolls!
The Coker Law team recently joined dozens of other companies and community members to participate in a Dreams Come True fundraising event. The 5K Walk, Run, Roll is a fun event that raised over $225,000.
Coker Law team members also provided running safety gear to participants to use on the day of the run but also when they lace up after the race. Safety lights, water bottles, identification bands and water bottles were fun gifts to present to supporters of Dreams Come True of Jacksonville!
